Jim Jonas, Commandant of Lake Country Detachment 1085, Marine Corps League, announced that the Detachment's first recipient of the Lake Country Detachment Marine of the Year has been awarded to Mike Hebert.
Commandant Jonas made the announcement in the detachment's May general membership meeting. A formal presentation of the award will be presented to Marine Hebert in the detachment's June 6 meeting at Memphis Ribs & Diner in Bracey, Virginia.
The Lake Country Detachment Marine of the Year Award is presented to a member who has provided outstanding and extraordinary service to Lake Country Detachment 1085 and the Marine Corps League.
